frequently asked questions

What makes personal training unique compared to a general fitness program?

Personal training is NOT a group class, bootcamp, or generic fitness program. I carefully design each program. We ensure you understand a safe form for your body, avoiding injuries and failures. We work at your pace, without the pressure to follow others or feel intimidated.

How does our collaboration work?

Send me a message, and let's discuss our expectations over the phone or by email. I'd love to hear about your goals, availability, training history, injuries, etc. If everything aligns, we'll book a first session where you'll experience my fitness space. For home sessions, it helps me understand the possibilities. We'll do a warm-up and focus on breathing and basic movements. The goal is to see how you move. The first session, with no further obligations, allows us to get to know each other better and establish a foundation for our training. You can decide if it's the right fit.

Do you provide online personal training?

While I initially preferred in-person collaboration, I am open to online sessions for business trips, vacations, or even when you move. This option is always available for consideration.

Is mobile personal training equivalent to gym workouts?

Yes, mobile personal training offers the same progressive resistance and gradual increase in load as training in a gym. I bring everything we need for the session, such as weights, elastic bands, TRX, and a bench. Mobile personal training even provides advantages like flexibility and comfort at a location of your choice. Moreover, all workouts are carefully customized to you, unlike a gym.

What training packages do you provide?

I offer monthly rates for consistency and flexibility, with options to train 1 to 3 times a week together. I aim to make efficient training affordable and am open to considering different budgets. If you have other ideas, let me know.

What is your cancellation policy?

Understanding that you have a life outside of training, I strive to be as flexible as possible. Depending on your plan, you have 4, 8, or 12 sessions per month. As you pay monthly, it's up to you whether you use them. Last-minute cancellations require rescheduling based on availability. If you choose not to reschedule, the session is considered a cancellation, and you lose it. Sessions can't be accumulated over multiple months.

Do you use an app for your programming?

While I am open to using an app in the future, I prefer a more personal approach using spreadsheets, pen, and paper. However, sharing workouts and tracking your own progress can offer benefits, so I am actively exploring these possibilities.

How often should I train for optimal results?

For optimal results, it is generally recommended to engage in strength training two to three times a week, allowing sufficient recovery time between sessions. I understand that everyone starts somewhere, so we begin with the time you can allocate. It's crucial to highlight that your results are influenced not only by the sessions but also by factors like nutrition, sleep, and overall activity.

Will strength training help me lose weight and improve my body shape?

The answer is versatile. Strength training shapes the body and contributes to weight loss. However, I prefer to focus on indicators such as training volume and daily activity, rather than traditional measurements like weight, BMI, and energy expenditure. Nutrition plays a crucial role, with special attention to quality proteins for muscle recovery and growth. It's important to emphasize that a balanced diet is essential; training alone cannot fully compensate for a poor diet.

Do you offer semi-private personal training?

In the future, I plan to introduce semi-private personal training to assist more women and refine my pricing formulas.

Can I start strength training even without experience?

Yes, strength training is safe with the right guidance: we start with appropriate resistance and focus on good technique. There's the idea that you have to look a certain way to start fitness: you are perfect as you are. Working together, I'll meet you where you are.

What type of personal trainer are you?

Thank you and congratulations on reading in such detail; it shows your dedication! I am a personal trainer who likes to create a positive environment that encourages learning, strengthens, and inspires. I ensure you leave your workout with a positive feeling, the idea that your body has worked without everything hurting. Although my style may not be that of an outspoken cheerleader, my workouts are still spicy.
